Vail Summer Activities

Used to be summer was the quiet season. No more! There are so many Vail summer activities, you may need to make a to do list. Fear not – this will be one fun list. What’s your hankering? The list of Vail summer activities is long. What have you always wanted to do? Zipline over a canyon? Easy-peasy! Ride a gondola to the top of a mountain? Check. Hike down through lush forests and green meadows? Not a problem.

Wait! Of course, there are more Vail summer activities such as mountain biking trails for the adventurers in the group. Stay on the easier dirt roads or test your skills on singletrack trails around the town. Try white-water rafting, kayaking, tubing, standup paddleboarding or even just floating. Ride a pedicab through town to your next adventure.

Summertime Vail activities continue outdoors in an entirely different venue. Check out all the cultural offerings at the renowned outdoor Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater steps from Vail Village. Bravo! Vail brings in the New York Philharmonic, Dallas Symphony Orchestra and other well-known musical offerings. Then there is the Vail International Dance Festival – amazing performances from dancers from around the globe.

Vail Activities Under the Summer Sun

Don’t forget to set aside leisure time to stroll through town, window shop, sip a glass of wine or visit a distillery tasting room. Almost every weekend in Vail during the summer there is a fun event taking place. Some are culinary and some are cultural, proving there’s more than athletic pursuits here. Pick your passion and explore.

After a day or two of Vail activities, check out one of the town’s lauded spas. Facials, massages, signature treatments by the crème de la crème. As a matter of fact, visiting spas can be a mission unto itself … a challenge well worth tackling.
