There are so many awesome and lovely Vail hotels. Starting in East Vail, there are spacious condos that are just a bit off the beaten path, but you can ride the free bus into town to ski, eat and shop. Golden Peak is on the far east side of the town of Vail and is directly across from the Riva Bahn chairlift. It’s a short walk into town, or, again, you can ride the free bus. There is a bike path that wends its way around the town, past parks and right into Vail.
Here, there are all sorts of hotels, suites and condos, from four-star Vail hotels with tons of amenities to smaller, quaint boutique hotels that are just as accommodating and welcoming. You’ll find famous name hotels like the Ritz and Four Seasons as well as hotels that are owned by Vail Resorts itself. Then there area even a few family-owned Vail hotels that have grown up right along with the town and Vail Mountain.
Head just a bit west to Lionshead Village for high-end Vail hotels and condos. You’ll be steps from the Eagle Bahn gondola and in the pedestrian village with tons to do.
Staying in Vail Hotels
Vail and Lionshead are so picturesque, but you’re going to want to head west if you’re looking for a deal or more space. Cascade Village has lift access and is on the free town bus route. Remember, most hotels offer free shuttles to and from at all hours of the day and night. Let someone else do the driving for you.
Vail hotels are spacious with activities for kids, outdoor pools and fitness centers. The biggest decision beyond where to stay may be whether you want a view of the mountain or would rather see the glittering lights of town. Park your car (if you have one) and walk around the town to get a feel of the land. Then … just relax. You’re in Vail.
