If you have a lot of energy, as most locals and visitors do, you can avoid down time like the plague if you want! And because of the plethora of Vail Valley activities, it might be a smart idea to make a plan as to what you want to experience.

Oh there’s more! Tennis, pickleball, camps and crafts, golf, disc golf and foot golf, rock climbing and even cemetery tours.

The Vail Valley hosts hundreds of festivals and events throughout the year, from free music concerts to ticketed dance festivals. Check out the International Dance Festival, for example, as a Vail activity. Attend one of Beaver Creek's activities that will leave you inspired, the World Alpine Ski Championships. Wander through the Minturn Market. Consider trying out a rafting trip on the Eagle River, one of the most sought after Avon activities. Head out to a world-class golf course for an Edwards activity. You can do all those Vail Valley activities, not to mention a mountain games events and adventures and food and wine festivals … a little bit of the New West combined with the historic Old West.
