Vail's flagship on-mountain dining location, Two Elk is perched at the top of the China Bowl, making it a good place to stop for lunch or a snack on the way to Blue Sky Basin. Here, at one of Vail's three large on-mountain restaurants (Eagle's Nest and Mid-Vail being the others), casual fare is served cafeteria-style, with options including anything from burgers and make-your-own salads to soups and stir fry. A bar, hot beverages, baked goods and snacks are also available. Indoor tables span a large open room with a mountain-lodge feel, and picnic tables are also set up outside, providing views of Vail's back bowls. Two Elk can get crowded around the noon hour during busy weekends or holiday weeks, so try to avoid the rush by coming early or late. Public restrooms and a small convenience shop are within Two Elk.
