At the private Sonnenalp Club in Edwards, the golf course wends its way through the Singletree neighborhood, offering 18 holes of breathtaking views. Homeowners, visitors and hotel guests are welcome to hit the links on this par 71, 7074-yard course. Hole 10, a par 4, signals a change in the course where it starts to climb and has the added bonus of tricky bunkers left of the green. Rates vary depending on the season, and the course is one of the first in the area to open and the last to close, offering one of the longest golfing seasons in the Vail Valley. Sonnenalp also offers a full-service pro shop, twilight and low-season rates, PGA/LPGA instruction and clinics and tournament events. The on-site restaurant is Harvest, with a sun-drenched deck, indoor fireplace and views of Arrowhead just across the valley. Executive Chef Rosa Provoste focuses on the freshest ingredients with hints of her international background in her preparations. Harvest serves breakfast to go (including a juice bar), afternoon snacks and dinner. With its expansive views and stunning facilities, the restaurant is the perfect setting for weddings, rehearsal dinners and other private celebrations of up to 200 people. Other amenities at Sonnenalp Club include tennis courts, pools and a wellness and fitness facility.
