The Minturn Summer Concert Series is a true locals' favorite. The free concerts happen on Thursday nights (rain or shine) in July and August at Little Beach Park and Amphitheater, which is tucked along Gore Creek. The views from the cozy amphitheater practically steal the show from the musicians, and it's the perfect event for the whole family because there's a playground adjacent to the amphitheater. The music is also family friendly (think: bluegrass and jam bands). You'll want to pack a blanket and lawn chairs to sit on and BYO beverages (no glass) and picnic; be sure to check out Minturn's local restaurants on your way to the park as many run specials in conjunction with the concert series and it's easy to pick something up to take along to the show. The venue can be a little tricky to find if you're unfamiliar with Minturn and/or if it's your first time visiting Little Beach Park, and the address often doesn't register on GPS. To get there, follow Highway 24 (the main road running through Minturn) through the downtown area and keep an eye out for a little bridge – officially called Cemetery Bridge – off the side of the road (a Summer Concert Series banner is usually hanging from the bridge). You'll turn there, cross the bridge and see the lower parking area for the park just beyond the bridge. There is additional parking above the park.
