Each year in mid-May, Eagle River Watershed Council hosts a highway cleanup, which is not only a fun event, but also a great way to help preserve the beauty of the Vail Valley. More than 900 volunteers offer their mornings to clean up 140 miles of Eagle County roadways. After the cleanup, all volunteers are invited to a free thank you barbecue at the Broken Arrow Restaurant. The celebration features live music, beer and delicious food. There are also gifts and a chance to win raffle prizes.
