Gib Singleton's work as a bronze sculptor is known around the world, and some of his pieces boast impressive addresses, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, the Vatican Museum in Rome and, of course, Vail. The Gib Singleton Gallery in Vail Village hosts a comprehensive collection of the artist's work. Singleton was known for capturing Western and Biblical themes in his work, which guests will see in the collection displayed in this gallery. His sculptures – from iconic cultural figures like Abraham Lincoln and Don Quixote to the Biblical Adam and Eve to an anonymous rough and tumble cowboy who looks like he could swagger off his stand into the sunset at any moment – are full of emotion and character. The gallery also hosts exhibits by other artists, including Earl Biss, Carrie Fell and Michael Kessler (keep an eye out for special events surrounding such exhibits). You'll find the gallery tucked into the One Willow Bridge Road building, which is accessed from Meadow Drive in Vail Village.
