There is so much to do in Eagle and Gypsum that your head might just spin right off. These are not sleepy little towns. These towns are packed with adventure, fun and fresh ideas. The towns have miles of paved paths, perfect for walking, strolling, running, biking, rollerblading, skateboarding … and everyone just gets along on these paths. If you’re more into trail running or mountain biking, then check out any of the towns’ numerous mountain biking options from smooth rollers to steep climbs. Or, head to the BMX park and pump track for a heart-pounding adventure close to town.

Down Valley — Things to Do Active or Relaxed

After a few miles of running, hiking and biking, spend some time at one of the fishing ponds. It’s relaxing yet nearby and it’s awfully fun to watch the kids try to reel in the big one. Hunting is a big sport here in the Rocky Mountains, and it’s just another way to explore the great outdoors and another fun Down Valley thing to do near town. Itching to try something different? Hike a 14er, climb a rock wall, swim a few laps at the recreation center or hit the links at one of three golf courses.
