The 16th annual Vail Film Festival, taking place August 15-88, 2019 in Vail, will have a special focus on female filmmakers, screening inspiring work from female writers, directors, and producers. In addition to film screenings, the festival will include panel discussions and a film making master class, as well as a daily hospitality lounge, the closing awards ceremony, and nightly parties. The 2019 film program includes narrative features, documentaries, short films, and student films, with many filmmakers in attendance for post-screening Q&As.

Since its founding in 2004, the Vail Film Festival has been a strong showcase for both established and up-and-coming female actors, directors, and producers, and for 2018 the festival will focus even more strongly on female filmmaking.
