Beaver Creek Activities in Winter

No one hibernates come winter because there are so many things to do in Beaver Creek come winter! The energy level only increases the more snow that falls – here’s to another 300-plus inch snow winter! There are so many wintertime Beaver Creek activities, each one more fun than the previous … maybe!

Obviously, there are skiing and snowboarding and thousands of acres of terrain to tackle. There are glow-stick ski downs and fireworks intermittently throughout the season. Take a sleigh ride to dinner? Where else can you do that?!

Beaver Creek activities once the weather turns cold go way beyond the ordinary. Skate around Black Family Ice Rink and join in their family-fun nights with disco music.

Get your heart pumping at McCoy Park at the top of Strawberry Park lift. There are miles of groomed Nordic ski trails as well as the option to snowshoe around the trails. The views won’t let you down and are the perfect excuse to stop to catch your breath. While there, you might as well visit the Candy Cabin, the sweetest place on the mountain, that’s an old-fashioned candy shop.

Beaver Creek Activities Get You Going!

The list continues of fun Beaver Creek things to do. Early winter means World Cup Ski Races. The bleachers have a stadium feel filled with revelry – cheer on Team USA – or head to the poster signings and concerts. About once a month the resort hosts a challenging snowshoe race. Go for it!

This may not be a strictly seen as a wintertime Beaver Creek activity, but it surely is a sweet spot: Nibble a hot, home-baked cookie at 3 p.m. at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain.
