Get all dressed up in your finest Western wear and join in the fun for this Colorado tradition. Held on Thursday evenings throughout the summer, Beaver Creek Rodeo is a great event for the whole family. Expect to see classic rodeo events like bull riding, barrel racing and team roping. There are a few opportunities for youngsters to get in on the fun, with the calf scramble and mutton bustin' — a crowd favorite in which a few brave kiddos jump in the ring and chase a few wary sheep. Kids will also enjoy the pony rides and face painting. Satisfy rumbling stomachs with barbecue and other great eats from local restaurants. The show happens rain or shine, and tickets can be purchased online a week in advance or at the gate. The rodeo grounds are at Traer Creek, which is in Avon near the base of the gateway to Beaver Creek.
